GLOBAL DESIGN PROJECT #041

Hello and happy Sunday!  Here is my card for today:

For my card I started off with the sketch over at Sketch Saturday:

http://sketchsaturday.blogspot.co.uk/

and followed the colour challenge at GLOBAL DESIGN PROJECT #041

I used the fabulous Stampin' Up! Sweet Cupcake Bundle:

The background papers are from FLORAL BOUTIQUE and I used my BOW BUILDER PUNCH.
I die cut some doilies for the cupcake and sponged some with Night of Navy ink.
Lastly I covered the topping in Crystal Effects (sadly no longer available :-( and added some pearls - this reminded me of those silver balls you used to put on Christmas cakes that broke your teeth when you bit into them!!!

It is pouring with rain here in Devon ... perfect crafting weather ;-)
Hope you have a fab weekend and thanks for visiting.

GLOBAL DESIGN PROJECT #39

Hi there.
Let me introduce you to Stampin' Up! Bella & Friends:

This is the gorgeous stamp set:

When I saw this set in the new Stampin' Up! catalogue I just had to have it as it looks so much like my puppy Posy!

I started off with the sketch over at SKETCH SATURDAY and used the theme at the GLOBAL DESIGN PROJECT:
http://www.global-design-project.com/

As I used Promarkers to colour my image I will also enter I LOVE PROMARKERS where the challenge is 'inspired by a song or film' - mine is 'Westlife you raise me up' (sorry corny I know!!).

I masked off some clouds and chalked the background but you cannot see this in the photo very well. My sentiment is from HOPEFUL THOUGHTS stamp set and I used Stampin' Up! Subtles and neutrals DSP.

Thanks for visiting me today and I hope you have a fabulous weekend!

Tuscan Vineyard

Hi There!
This is the first of two posts for today:

I then decided to add Crystal Effects:

When I saw that this weeks LESS IS MORE CHALLENGE is 'PURPLE' I started off with the sketch over at SKETCH SATURDAY and used the fabulous new Stampin' Up! 'Tuscan Vineyard' stamp set:

I coloured the grapes using my Stampin' Write Markers and a blender pen. Then I added some Crystal Effects to make them shine - not sure which version I prefer!

I will be back shortly with my next post - thanks for stopping by.

Bold Butterflies

Hello there!
I have a card which combines three challenges today:

I started off with sketch number 286 over at Sketch Saturday:

Items used:
Bold Butterflies Framelits
Butterflies Framelits
Lost Lagoon ink
Retired DSP
sentiment from Watercolour Wings

When I had finished my card I had to sit on all of my embellishments as I felt that it was too CAS - what do you think?

Thanks for visiting and I hope that you have a lovely Bank holiday weekend.

GLOBAL DESIGN PROJECT #GDP012 ~ Take 2!

Good afternoon and welcome to my 'Feminine Friday' post:

I decided that I wasn't pleased with my first entry to the:

And felt that I hadn't done justice to Brian's fabulous work so I made another card. This time I CASED the square Christmas card theme and chose my favourite colours 'at the moment' of Pink Pirouette and Crumb Cake. Hopefully I have stuck to Brian's clean look (which he perfects so well).

I started with the sketch over at:

But try as I might I could not keep to the jaunty angle - my brain won't allow it!!

I used the fabulous Jolly Christmas stamp set:

and heat embossed the beautiful deer with white embossing powder. The side panel is dry embossed with the Softly Falling Snow Embossing Folder. Finished off with the Snowflake Elements.

As I used lots of snippets on my card I will also enter:

Pixies Crafty Workshop

Thank you for visiting me today and I hope that you have a wonderful weekend.
I have been ill this week with the flu so I have a mountain of housework to catch up on....oh joy!

Take Care

Happy Bank Holiday everyone!

I hope that you are having a  lovely day. Much of mine has been spent 'chicken watching'!! On Saturday we bought 2 more chickens to add to our other 2. This is very stressful for the chickens and us and I have been putting it off for a while. (You have to wait for the pecking order to sort out, which normally involves a bit of fighting). But I am completely astonished that our original 2 are scared of the new ones!! The trouble is there is a bit of screeching going on so I am letting them have as much space as possible. Hopefully things will settle soon.

On to today's card:

Quite appropriate don't you think!

Challenges:
Pixie's-snippets-playground 'Use snippets'
Sketch Saturday  'Follow the sketch'  ( love this one! )

So that's me for today must go back and referee the chickens!
Thanks for stopping by.
