GLOBAL DESIGN PROJECT #38

Hi there I'm back with another card:

For this card I used the new Stampin' Up! DETAILED FLORAL THINLITS DIES:

Here is the Stampin' Up! Youtube video on how to use them:

I started with the sketch at:

The sentiment (which I tried to make look like a wedding cake!) is from NUMBER OF YEARS STAMP SET and the banner die is from LARGE NUMBERS FRAMELITS.

I will also enter the FUSSY AND FANCY challenge where the theme is 'Anniversary or Wedding'and as I used some snippets of Smokey Slate and white card stock I will enter Pixie's Snippets Playground .

This card will come in very handy this month as hubby and I will be celebrating our 25th Wedding Anniversary!!  (as he doesn't read my blog I won't be ruining any surprises!!)

Thanks for visiting me today and I hope you have a fabulous weekend.

STAMPIN' UP! GLOBAL DESIGN PROJECT #GDP031

Good morning from a very sunny Devon :-)
I have a card to share with you using Stampin' Up! Botanical Builder Framelits:

Here are the dies:

As you can see there are lots of beautiful variations of tropical foliage!
But instead of the bold colours used in the catalogue:

I went with my favourite colour combination of pink and grey.

The challenge over at the Global Design Project is:
So I will enter that and also as I used snippets of card and DSP I will also enter:
Pixie's Snippets Playground
Pixies Snippets Playground

Happy Home

As promised I am back with another card from my Saturday craft session!
This is my first entry for LESS IS MORE 'Silhouette':

I stamped the tree from Stampin' Up HAPPY HOME:

and clear heat embossed it. Next I masked off a circle (for the sun) and sponged the sky and grass. Then I masked off everything except the sun and sponged that. I have given it a lick of a Wink Of Stella pen but it doesn't show up well in the photo.
To finish off I stamped the flowers directly onto the card base and added a few squiggles to join up.

As I used a snippet of black card stock I will also enter PIXIES' SNIPPETS PLAYGROUND.

I will be back shortly with my other entry for Less Is More.

Thanks for visiting!

GLOBAL DESIGN PROJECT #GDP018

Where have I been you might ask?
Well last weekend it was my birthday and I bought three chickens to add to my two. One of mine is no longer laying so I needed to increase my egg supply!!
In the past chicken introductions have not gone well at all but this time it has been so easy!
The new ones are settling in very nicely - yay!!

Onto my card:

I have followed the sketch at:
and used Stampin' Up! Easter Lamb stamp:

I masked off the sentiment and then coloured the gorgeous image with my Blender Pen and various inks. The backing paper is the Subtles DSP  and the sentiment is from A Dozen Thoughts.

As I used some snippets of Soft Sky card stock I will enter:
PIXIE'S SNIPPETS PLAYGROUND
and over at AS YOU LIKE IT CHALLENGE they are asking 'favourite paper or non paper project'. Mine is most definitely paper as I am not good at knitting (my tension is too tight!). But I have just bought a sewing project and will show it when I have finished it!

Thanks for visiting me today and I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Stampin' Up! Helping Me Grow

Good evening and welcome to my blog!
Here is my card for today:

I have used the beautiful stamp set called 'Helping Me Grow':

This is Photopolymer stamp set which makes it so easy to use as it is clear. I paper pieced the flowers with the Subtles DSP - I do love to paper piece as I find it very relaxing to sit and snip!

The butterflies are sadly from a retired die.

My card is inspired from Freshly Made Sketches:

Hopefully I can enter by the skin of my teeth as the deadline is very soon!
I would also like to enter PIXIE'S SNIPPETS PLAYGROUND as I used lots of snippets!

Thanks for stopping by.

Stampin' Up! Bloomin' Heart Thinlits Die - CAS Card

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU!
I hope that you have had a lovely time celebrating and having fun.
Have you made any new years resolutions?
I don't usually because I don't stick to them BUT this year I plan to make more time to craft as it makes me happy! In order to do this I need to get my housework into a routine - any help or advise would be very welcome!!!

On to today's card.
I have used the gorgeous Bloomin' Heart Thinlits Die (available January 5th....not long left to wait!!):

The two different sizes of flower dies come with the set and the sentiment is from 'Another Thank You' stamp set.

I would like to enter LESS IS MORE challenge where the theme is 'neutral colours' and as I used some snippets of grey card I will also enter PIXIES SNIPPETS PLAYGROUND.

Thanks for visiting me today and I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend.

GLOBAL DESIGN PROJECT #GDP012 ~ Take 2!

Good afternoon and welcome to my 'Feminine Friday' post:

I decided that I wasn't pleased with my first entry to the:

And felt that I hadn't done justice to Brian's fabulous work so I made another card. This time I CASED the square Christmas card theme and chose my favourite colours 'at the moment' of Pink Pirouette and Crumb Cake. Hopefully I have stuck to Brian's clean look (which he perfects so well).

I started with the sketch over at:

But try as I might I could not keep to the jaunty angle - my brain won't allow it!!

I used the fabulous Jolly Christmas stamp set:

and heat embossed the beautiful deer with white embossing powder. The side panel is dry embossed with the Softly Falling Snow Embossing Folder. Finished off with the Snowflake Elements.

As I used lots of snippets on my card I will also enter:

Pixies Crafty Workshop

Thank you for visiting me today and I hope that you have a wonderful weekend.
I have been ill this week with the flu so I have a mountain of housework to catch up on....oh joy!
