Lovely As A Tree - One Layer

Good morning (just!) and welcome to my 'Macho Monday' post:

 With the camera flash on:

For todays card (after my third attempt!) I used LOVELY AS A TREE stamp set and heat embossed with GOLD EMBOSSING POWDER. Now me and embossing power don't get on hence my third attempt!  And I am still not 100% happy with the result :-(   
I used anti-static powder but I still managed to get stray speckles of powder so please don't look too closely!  On my next order I will purchase an EMOSSING BUDDY to see if that makes a difference and will let you know the results.

My card was made for the LESS IS MORE CHALLENGE so I kept it very simple with lots of white/red space.
Back to the drawing board I think but I am determined to conker the clean and simple look so if you are in Devon today you might hear a few screams of frustration!!

Good morning and welcome to my 'Macho Monday' post:

My card today was CASED from the new Stampin' Up! catalogue (below):

 

As you can see I didn't copy it completely and made my own version.

 

I used the hostess set HAPPY BITHDAY, EVERYONE for the sentiment and the flower is DEFINETELY DALIA stamped in CRUMB CAKE. The DSP is GO WILD and I added JUTEBAND and BASIC BLACK RIBBON. The heart clip is from the retired Hodge Podge Clips.

Stampin' Up! Traveler

Hi there and welcome to my 'Macho Monday' post!
I have used TRAVELER for todays card and it is unashamedly CASED from the Stampin' Up! catalogue!

It is not exactly the same though as I used a different sentiment and a banner.
I used KRAFT CARDSTOCK , CRUMB CAKE INK PAD, GORGEOUS GRUNGE STAMP SET and TUXEDO BLACK MOMENTO INK PAD. The sentiment is from BUTTERFLY BASICS STAMP SET.

As I used some snippets I will enter Pixies Snippets Playground and Papertake Weekly where anything goes!

Less Is More 'Newsprint'

Good evening and a warm welcome to my little blog!

I have made three cards today for the Less Is More Challenge where the theme is 'Newsprint'.
Here is my first entry:

I thought that it would make a good man's card.
 The sentiment was originally stamped directly onto the card but Dumbo here didn't stamp it straight!!

So that's entry numero uno, I'll be back tomorrow with my second entry.
