Lovely As A Tree - One Layer

Good morning (just!) and welcome to my 'Macho Monday' post:

 With the camera flash on:

For todays card (after my third attempt!) I used LOVELY AS A TREE stamp set and heat embossed with GOLD EMBOSSING POWDER. Now me and embossing power don't get on hence my third attempt!  And I am still not 100% happy with the result :-(   
I used anti-static powder but I still managed to get stray speckles of powder so please don't look too closely!  On my next order I will purchase an EMOSSING BUDDY to see if that makes a difference and will let you know the results.

My card was made for the LESS IS MORE CHALLENGE so I kept it very simple with lots of white/red space.
Back to the drawing board I think but I am determined to conker the clean and simple look so if you are in Devon today you might hear a few screams of frustration!!

    This is stunning Eve, the red and gold combination is fabulous.
    You have to cut the House Mouse Decoupage out yourself I'm afraid!

    Stunning card Eve, such an elegant design in red and gold and a brilliant idea to do flash on and flash off piccy's, you've captured the embossing really well! Personally the stray flecks of glitter add to the design, gives a little bit of extra sparkle! :) Donna ♥ x
