Stampin' Up! Sparkly Seasons Birthday Card

Good morning and welcome to my 'Feminine Friday' post:

The stamp set that I have used for today's card is in the new Autumn/Winter catalogue (available to order from 1st September - email me HERE if you would like a copy in the post) and has mainly Christmas images apart from this one. It is called 'Sparkly Seasons'.

I have covered the globe in Crystal Effects then sprinkled Dazzling Diamonds glitter to make it sparkle. The Designer Series Paper is from the subtle's pack.

I will enter Papertake Weekly where I have chosen the colour theme 'lilac' and as I used some snippets of white card stock I will also enter Pixies Snippets Playground .

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day!

Christmas Macho Monday!

Good morning and welcome to my 'Macho Monday' post. I have a Christmas card to share with you today:

There are lots of sneak peaks from the new Stampin' Up! Autumn/Winter catalogue on this card!

You might think that I have dry embossed the top white panel but I have actually stuck circles down - why you might ask!! well I did put an embossed panel down first but it didn't look right (it was too raised I think) also this way I can place the circles wherever I wish. The idea came from the super talented Brian King and THIS VIDEO. As you can see you can use this technique with lots of different shapes!
Brian has also inspired me to enter Freshly Made Sketches  after seeing THIS stunning card but if you check out his blog you will see ALL of his cards are stunning. He also has got the greatest sense of humour and cracks me up laughing regularly!!

Thanks for visiting and I hope you have a fabulous day!

Let It Snow!

Good afternoon and welcome to my blog today!
I have a sneak peak of the new Stampin' Up! Autumn/Winter Catalogue today:

I have used a new die set called Sleigh Ride Edgelits and the vellum is from a pad called Winter Wonderland.
The sentiment is heat embossed with GOLD EMBOSSING POWDER  then punched out with a WORD WINDOW PUNCH. I also used a piece of GOLD FOIL sheet.

As you can probably see I have made a bit of a boob by pressing my gold foil sheet down too hard so now the 3d dimensional shows through but never mind!!
I think it was Jeniffer Mcguire who said to use fun foam under die cuts to support them - must try that next time!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonder weekend!
