It's a cupcake kind of day!

Good evening to you and welcome to my blog.

I have used one of my favourite colour combinations for todays card:

Now who doesn't love cupcakes?!!   I would eat them for breakfast dinner and tea if I could - sigh!
The best thing is homemade cake - here's one I made earlier:

Orange cake made with the zest and a tablespoon of juice in the cake, filled with buttercream and orange curd. Topped off with orange icing.........Mmmmm!!   It didn't last long!
My apologies for all those on a diet!

I am now going to eat said cake with a nice cup of tea - Ansome! as us Devon folk would say!!

Stampin Up 'Something For Baby' Card

Good afternoon all.

Hope that your week has got off to a good start.

Firstly I would just like to say that this is the last day that you can order from Stampin Up - RETIRED LIST.



Onto today's card:

I would like to enter it into the Sketch and Stash Challenge where you follow the sketch and state your newest or neglected stash. I have used my newest stash which is in the new Stampin Up catalogue called 'Something for Baby'. It comes with co-ordinating dies and is so cute!

 

I think that baby cards are my most favourite to make - I don't know why?! (much too old to be broody!!)

CAS Father's Day Card

Hello there!

Where have I been? - well I have a craft stall on Saturday so I've been busy making more cards and other bit's and bobs ( show those soon! ) .
I will be so glad when Friday is here as my youngest son finishes his GCSE's - Whoop Whoo!
On to today's card:

I have used my 'Hardwood' stamp again as it is so good for masculine cards also my new 'Lovely as a Tree' set which  has been on my wanted list forever!

CAS Thank you card

Good morning all.

I hope that you are well and having a good day so far.
Today's card combines two challenges:

The challenges are Less Is More (more than one stamp) and Case-this-Sketch-78 this is a new challenge for me and here is the sketch:

 

I hope that my interpretation is O.K - if not please delete my entry.

 

My card was cased from a clean and simple card making book except they used DP for the wood background and there were buttons on the butterflies. (I felt this made it too fussy)

 Clean and simple cards are something that I still struggle with and stepping away from the card is very difficult!!

I don't really get how you can call this card 'clean and simple' when there is not much white space because of the background stamp. But it was in the book so it must be - weird!
Anyway I hope that you like my card and any 'clean and simple' advise would be very much appreciated!

Talking of clean - housework here we come :(

Back again with my entry to the Less Is More Challenge: (One Layer Thank You)

I think that I'm getting there with the old CAS thing! (still a bit tempted to add things!!)
This is my favourite colour combination Crumb Cake and Elegant Eggplant.

The weather hasn't been too bad here in Devon today but it's very windy which is a shame as the Wisteria flowers are getting blown off :(
Still at least it's not raining - yet!
